Kaduna Int’l trade fair holds Feb 23-Mar 4, 2018

“THREE international companies are now in Kaduna State- Dangote Tomato Paste Factory, Olam International and another company from Germany.”
Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, President, Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists in Lagos, during a press briefing to herald the 39th edition of the Kaduna International Trade Fair with the theme Promoting Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for international competitiveness.
It is scheduled to hold at the Kaduna International Trade and Investment Centre, Km 4, Kaduna-Zaria Road, Rigachikun, Kaduna from Friday 23rd February to Saturday 4th March 2018.
Responding to what the chamber has been doing to revive comatose industries in the state, she disclosed that the chamber had been working in collaboration with the State’s Investment and Promotion Agency, to revive some of the moribund industries, especially, textile firms.
“We have actually worked on some textile industries and there are international companies that are coming in to invest in some of the textile companies,” added Usman Saulawa , the Director-General of KADCCIMA.
Earlier, Suleiman Aliyu, the Deputy President of the Chamber/ Chairman Trade Fair Organisation Committee, said: “ The theme of this year’s edition of the trade fair was chosen so as to compliment the effort of the government towards revamping the economy to drive investments in agriculture, manufacturing, trade, services and technology sector.”
