“We are very proud of what you have achieved as a team. You showed excellent form and displayed great sportsmanship throughout the game. I congratulate every member of the team who was on the field and everyone who cheered us on to victory.”
This commendation was made by the MD/CEO of Nestlé’s Nigeria, Mr. Mauricio Alarcón, when the company emerged overall Champions of the just concluded 2018 edition of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Games, organised by Media Vision Limited.
Mr. Alarcón commended his team to have made the company proud and hauled in 9 Gold medals, 9 Silver medals, and 4 Bronze medals, inclusive of the Football Gold.
“As a health and wellness company with a purpose to enhance quality of life and contribute to a healthier future for individuals and families, we will continue to support participation in sporting activities which not only build the body, but also promote the learning of key life skills including team spirit, stamina and discipline,” he said.
According to Jimmy Sogbesan, Chief Operating Officer of Media Vision Limited, the Nigeria FMCG Games is a platform that brings employees together to compete, have fun, bond and network in a sportive and friendly atmosphere.
“This year saw some of Nigeria’s biggest FMCG companies competed against each other for a chance to be crowned champions of their sector.
These comprise Unilever Plc., Friesland Campina WAMCO, Guinness Nigeria, Reckitt Benckiser and Nestlé Nigeria. Nestlé emerged victorious not only in football but also in athletics, scrabble, table tennis and chess, dominating in the competitions.”
