“WE are aware that the Kano State Government is currently engaged in some projects involving Chinese partners, it is our belief that the investment in infrastructure projects can be extended to key supporting components of manufacturing such as industrial parks to bring about aggregate real economic growth.”
Ahmed Mansur, President of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), made the call when he paid courtesy visit to the Governor of the State, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
He said that MAN, is also requesting the Governor to review the Land Use Act 2017 in the interest of business sustenance.
“Your decision to set up a Committee to review the Act is greatly appreciated. We await the outcome of the Committee’s report and plead for an early approval of its recommendations.
Allocate another land
“We also want to bring to your attention, the allocated parcel of land granted to our Kano branch to site its secretariat for which we are grateful. However, the land allocated we understand is far from existing industrial clusters and does not suit the purpose of our members.
“We kindly solicit for your kind intervention to allocate an alternative site,” he said.
“We sincerely appreciate the support and cooperation that your government has continued to extend to MAN branches in Kano. We want to strengthen the relationship through working together to achieve the desired objectives.”
