THE Special Assistant to the Director -General, Standards Organisation of Nigeria and Head of Public Relations, Mr. Adebola Fashina, has lost his father in death.
In a statement released by the family, the community leader in the Idi Oro area of Musin Local Government, Lagos State, Alhaji Muftau Adeniyi Fashina , “answered the call of Allah at the age of 90.”
The community leader from Ake, Abeokuta died in his house at 3, Labinjo Court, near Eko Boys High School Musin, Lagos on Saturday June 8, 2019 after a brief illness.
A devout muslim during his lifetime, Alhaji Muftau Fashina was laid to rest in his country home at Sabo, Abeokuta.
A proud graduate of St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Ebute Meta, Lagos, he was for several decades one of the most popular Property Managers in Musin, through his company, M.A. Fashina and Brothers.
An avowed follower of the Late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Pa Fashina was for many decades Secretary, Vice Chairman and member of the Ewe Agbigbo and Masewele Community Development Associations in Musin.
He was severally, Treasurer for the defunct Action Group, Alliance For Democracy and Action Congress of Nigeria within his Masewele Community in Lagos State.
He is survived by a wife, brothers, sisters and many children among whom is the Special Assistant to the Director General, Standards Organisation of Nigeria and Head of Public Relations, Mr. Adebola Fashina.
