Krisoral Group of Companies boss applauds FG for upgrading digital infrastructures

The Chairman  Krisoral Group of Companies, Onitsha, Anambra State, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Oranu Chris Chidume, has lauded the federal government for upgrading the country’s digital infrastructures.

The Federal Government through the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy has on Friday, April 23rd virtually commissioned batch nine of seven (7) digital Economy Projects.

The 7 Digital Economy Projects commissioned are: “The Community ICT Centre, Dutse, Jigawa State, North West; IT Hub Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, North East;  Digital Economy Centre, Imo State Polytechnic, South East, and Digital Economy Centre, Government Secondary School, Garki, Abuja, North Central.

The others are Digital Economy Centre, Ojodu Grammar School, Ojodu, Lagos State, South West. Emergency Communication Centre, Enugu, Enugu State, South East, and The Emergency Communication Centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State, South West.”

Igwe Chidume, gave the commendation when he addressed the students of the Faculty of Management Science Chukwuemeka Odumegu Ojuwkwu, University (COOU), Igbaram, Anambra State.

In a Keynote address with the theme, ” Entrepreneurship As The Engine of Economic Development Nigeria’s Experience in COVID-19 Era,” he said that Nigeria has an underdeveloped digital economy, stressing that significant efforts have been made by the government to upgrade the country’s base knowledge economy.

The Krisoral Group of Companies boss noted that COVID-19 has led to a surge in the country’s e-commerce sector, which has led to accelerated digital transformation.

He appealed to the government at all levels to provide infrastructure to enable entrepreneurship to thrive in the country.

He charged the students to cultivate a saving culture and to also learn how to re-investing in any business they plan to venture into after graduation.

“Having financial discipline means living below your means and not over-extending yourself like most people consistently do. I don’t spend money I didn’t earn,” he said.
