Stakeholders have said the rubber produced and processed in Nigeria is of recommended international standard and sought-after in the global markets.
This was disclosed at the ongoing first-ever Rubber Week celebration organized by the Cross River State chapter of the National Rubber Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NARPPMAN).
The regional coordinator, Nigeria Export Promotion Council for South-South, Mr. Joe Ita, spoke on the topic ‘Unveiling the Trade Export Potentials of Cross River State Through Partnerships’ in the development of rubber and rubber byproducts in its industrialization drive.
He encouraged manufacturers to sustain the tempo and quality of their products to attract increasing demands.
CBN representative Aniekan Umoren similarly urged rubber farmers to key into the bank’s development finance initiatives and the investment windows for the sub-sector.
